Worcester State College Dormitories

At Worcester State College students now have new dorm rooms to studying. This six story residence hall joins two existing dormitory buildings on the campus, off Chandler Street in Worcester, MA.

The building design utilized a double loaded corridor with the Strescore plank spanning to the outside walls. Construction of the dormitory began in May of 2003. Strescon Limited began erecting the 98,000 square foot of 8-inch thick Strescore plank in August and completed their work in November.

The use of precast/prestressed Strescore plank provides the students of this new dorm with a place to call home which is fore resistant and has a low level of sound transfer, allowing them to concentrate on their studies.
